The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi
A glass of water on my bedside table
That it is a waste of time, and you only need 5 or 6 hours out of 24 hours to sleep and rest.
What you do before going to bed sets the tone for the night and your sleep, as well as for the morning ahead.
No bedtime routine necessary, everyone in the family can or must just go to sleep whenever they feel like it.
Warm feet, good pillow, room must be as dark as possible
This one is for new parents: Have a discussion and a plan for getting enough rest and sleep. Don’t underestimate the power of a good 8 (or more) hours of sleep when adjusting to and looking after a little baby.
Tula Tu Tula Baba
I am a girl from the Kalahari originally, who, at the age of 18 moved to the beautiful Free State to study Psychology. After qualifying and getting married to my amazing husband, I moved to Gauteng (Pretoria), where I am currently living. I am blessed with two beautiful little girls, who keep me on my toes and young at heart. They are my sunshine and my rain!
With more than 15 years of training and experience in various settings of psychology, I often still find that I learn a lot through life experiences and roles – for me through being a wife, a mother, a professional person and a member of my family. It was, and is, from the aforementioned areas of life that my passion for the well-being of individuals and families (and especially mothers, children and the marital and/or family relationships) grew.
My ultimate goal (through psycho-education, counselling and therapy) is to assist, empower and enrich the lives of individuals in order to establish more happy and healthy people, families, children and homes. I also love to assist parents to build and provide a strong and happy household foundation from which children and the family can grow and thrive.
